BIO: My name is Donielle Dixon, I am a sophomore, Political Science major with a minor in communication I have a 3.4 GPA. My strengths are that I am a hard worker, driven, never gives up my weakness is that I am a perfectionist and I can be hard on myself. When I first got to State I joined the Hornet Tribune and I joined the senate my spring semester. I am currently an RA, Senate Secretary, a member of collegiate 100, I was also a member of HOST. Student Government Association Secretary candidate Donielle Dixon knows when it’s time for a change and wants to be the one to help make the change happen. Her platform “From Dusk to Dawn” focuses on communication and knowledge, in which she wants to help find a way to communicate with students more effectively and efficiently. “students are always finding out everything last when it comes to the school and I want to help students learn how to enact change that way administration will take us more seriously and won’t give us the run around because we went about things the correct way,” said Dixon. Dixon is currently the Senate Secretary for the Legislative branch in SGA and also a residential assistant. “If I become secretary I would like to implement having a dropbox outside of my office where students can come and write down their concerns that they have and I can answer them by phone call, email, or put their question and answer it on social media because the same questions you might have other students probably have them same,” she said. Dixon says if she does not obtain this position as SGA Secretary she will still try to communicate to the students to the best of her ability, and also help students learn how to enact change correctly. “I would encourage the SGA secretary to do the dropbox idea because I think it would be beneficial,” said Dixon.
