Miss ASU Candidate: Who is Arianna Thompson?

Miss Arianna Thompson is 1 of 6 competitors running for the Miss Alabama State University. Thompson is from Wetumpka,Al and is very passionate and prideful of this university. That is why her platform for her campaign is P.R.I.D.E. Pride is an acronym for Power Revealed In Dedication to Education. Thompson says “I come from a family of educators which is why education is the focus of my platform. Education is Vital to one’s life… without education we would not be where we are today.” If Thompson is granted the opportunity to become Miss ASU she would like to begin a “Pride foundation” which will serve as financial support for students, along with mentoring opportunities, and a tutoring opportunity for surrounding schools called “Hornet Community Connection.” It was obvious that because both education and ASU are held very dear to Thompson’s heart that if she does not obtain this position she will still continue to work to ensure that her voice is hear and ideas are still brought to light. Because Thompson is apart of the university's cheerleading team she would describe herself to be “outgoing, energetic, and social.” Thompson is also an S.O.S leader, where she leads students to learn all that Alabama State has to offer. With her reign she would also like to bring back a previous event that was a part of a Muriel S.’s ( a past queen) platform. Which is the “Little Miss Hornet” pageant. This will allow young queens to showcase their talents as well as gain pride and self confidence within themselves!
