BIO: Chanelle Ariel Bryant is a Junior Dance Major from Atlanta, Ga with Trinidadian Roots. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., a current SGA Senator, Co-Founder and Vice President of Beta Phi Alpha Dance Honor Society, Founder of MBODI Dance Ensemble, and a previous mentor with ASPIRE. She also works with ED Nixon and Highland Garden After-School Programs. She is a HARDWORKING MACHINE and is ready to step up and work to maintain the legacy of THE Alabama State University as Miss ASU 2018-2019. Vote her as your queen April 9-10th in the Student Union!
Chanelle Bryant is finding a her way to becoming the next Miss Alabama State University by advocating for the achievement of others dreams through her platform “Mission I’m Possible.” “My platform is “Mission I’m Possible,” it’s advocating for the achievement of your dreams regardless of what you feel is impossible or what someone has told you is impossible through innovation, motivation, and perseverance,” said Bryant. Bryant was motivated by her theater professor to take the initiative and leave a legacy at Alabama State University by running to become Miss ASU 2018-19. While campaigning for the position, she started out by organizing a clothing drive that provide people with clothes to help them with interviews, jobs, etc. She also presented a music video to show the students that Miss ASU is not just about inspiring others but it’s about having fun as well. Bryant takes the time to attend after school care with students to talk to them about their goals and motivating the students. She has giving can goods and water to the homeless in the community, and also organized a campus clean up. She is apart of many organizations and has fulfilled many leadership positions that will prepare her to become Miss ASU such as being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., SGA Senator, Co-Founder and Vice President of Beta Phi Alpha Dance Honor Society, Founder of MBODI Dance Ensemble, and a previous mentor with ASPIRE.
