“It’s to help you and allow you to be successful in finding your purpose, we just kind of do things and whatever happens out of that happens and that’s not beneficial to your purpose,” said Alexis Butler, creator of Purposeful Planning.
Purposeful Planning is a newly stationery business, launched in November 2018 by entrepreneur and journalist, Alexis Butler. Helping the everyday woman find her purpose through a planner, Purposeful Planning is to help you write down your ideas, create a plan for yourself, and be held accountable for things you do in your everyday life.
When it comes to setting goals, it can become hard to accomplish them, the main mission for Purposeful Planning it to accommodate women in setting and achieving goals they dream to have.
“A lot of times we set plans for ourselves and we’ll say “oh I’ll do that next year,” but once you write it down, it’s not only making you write it down but it’s asking you “did I do this today” to set goals and actually make you be successful,” said Butler.
Butler says when it comes to starting a business, “go for it.” she advises people to find someone who is successful, and ask them as many questions as needed. “Never be afraid to start something you want to do,” said Butler.
Butler plans to launch stationery items for all woman including an academic planner for high school students. She says customers are more accustomed to her monthly planner because it gives daily inspirational affirmations to women.
